What you choose to use should depend on your skin type, read on to find the best ways to cleanse. First, choose a cleanser. Oily skin usually works better with light and gentle cleansers that won’t dry or irritate your skin but will remove all dirt and dead cells. Use the cleanser twice a day, gently massaging your face in a circular motion and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Before applying it, make sure to have clean hands. If you exercise or sweet profusely, make sure to clean your face again. After you are done, pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Even if you wear makeup, getting it off with a cleanser is better than using wipes. Avoid products with alcohol or fragrances. If your normal cleanser isn’t enough to get all the makeup off, try using coconut oil and then rinsing it off with the cleanser. After all this, remember to tone and moisturize your face, even oily skin needs to stay hydrated, to help the extra sebum stay within your skin and keep it from producing more. However, you should choose a moisturizer that adapts to your skin without making the situation worse. Read our post on how to choose a moisturizer here. Another way to deeply clean your skin is using face masks. There are some, like the Peel Mud that you can use daily as a normal cleanser if your skin is really oily. In other cases, use the face mask only one or twice a week, as a special treatment for your skin. Once a week you can choose to exfoliate with a gentle product, something that doesn’t irritate or redden your skin. This will help remove dead skin or pollution from your pores without affecting your skin. Another way to keep your skin clean is to follow a healthy lifestyle. Eating more fruits, exercising regularly and taking some time off help control oil production, blood flow and hormonal changes. Stay clean and make your skin feel loved at all times.
